Behind the Scenes: My 21st

For my birthday, I wanted it to be very low key, rustic, southern, etc. Even though I’m not southern, at all, I love this rustic look, i.e. burlap, mason jars, chalkboards, sunflowers, candles. It was absolutely perfect. All of the things that you see here were made by my mom and I, and all of the chalkboards were drawn by me. (stay tuned for a full post on chalkboard art.) Hope that you guys like it.

Mason jar cupcakes, not only are they adorable, but sooooo delicious and perfect to make the day before a party because you seal the lid, and they keep for days.  The added little wooden spoons are from Etsy and were such a cute touch and so practical because a lot of the guests took them home.  A few even told me they ate them in the car. 🙂 DSC01384DSC01385DSC01386DSC01387DSC01388DSC01389DSC01390DSC01391DSC01392DSC01394DSC01395DSC01396DSC01397DSC01398DSC01399DSC01400DSC01401DSC01402DSC01403DSC01404DSC01405DSC01406DSC01407DSC01408DSC01410DSC01411DSC01412
