Today’s post is all about bottoms. Bell bottoms that is! Or flares, or whatever else you want to call them. While this trend seems to be coming back and super popular as of lately, this is a trend that I’ve always been obsessed with. Being a girl with “muscular legs,” I always thought that this cut of pant was always more flattering on me. Now, don’t get me wrong, I do love a good pair of skinny jeans, especially with a great pair of boots, but that cut is SO much harder for me to find for my body type. Because I have a small waist and more muscular legs, it is normally nearly impossible for me to find pants that work and fit well without having to wear a belt extremely tight to hold them on.
I love bell bottoms in both high waisted and and low. And depending on what you’re pairing them with, I think both can be equally as flattering. I think this shape of these pants highlights a small waist and gives your body that hourglass figure that we all love and want. Unlike the skinny jeans which make your legs look like something you bought at Buffalo Wild Wings. Sorry but it’s true.
The natural shape of (most) women’s legs are larger at the top and smaller at the bottom. That’s just the way it is. But why would you want to accentuate the larger areas to such an extreme. Now I know you’re probably thinking that I’m totally against the skinny jeans style. But I’m not. I just think it’s much harder for me to find a pair that I’m completely in love with. Above are some of my favorite looks and styles incorporating the pant in all of it’s different colors and fabrics. What do you guys think of this trend? Do you think it’s just the 70’s trying to come back or are you as always obsessed with them as I am? Let me know and don’t forget to subscribe to my blog so you know exactly when I’m posting.
