Will You Be My Bridesmaid?

My first wedding event as a bride.  That’s still so crazy to me that I’m a bride and fiancé to someone.  Especially someone as incredible as Brandon.  I don’t even think it’ll hit me until we lock in a date and a wedding venue.  That’ll make it seem real.  After we got engaged, I planned a little brunch and invited my girls over to ask them a very special question.  Obviously, to ask them to be my bridesmaids.  I’ve known for a while you the special women in my life were and who I wanted to stand next to me on my special day.

I always knew that my cousin Camryn would be my Maid of Honor.  She was born when I was about 5 years old and we’ve basically been like sisters since then.  Then of course I have my three best friends, Hallie, Kaylee, and Jen, my future sister-in-law, Allie and my little cousin Mia as a Junior Bridesmaid.  Although you wouldn’t know she was any younger than the rest of us.  Really the only thing that separates her from the other bridesmaids is her attendance to the Bachelorette party.  The morning was perfect!  We had quiche, homemade scones and macarons (courtesy of my amazing mother), fresh fruit, champagne, and lots and lots of happy tears and laughs.

I made each girl a personalized gift box with a note I wrote each of them asking them to be apart of my bridal party.  Enclosed in each box was a “Bridesmaid” mug, ornament (it was right before Christmas time), candle and personalized “Cookies by Lexie” cookie.  They LOVED them and I was so so glad!  I wanted to give them each something special because being apart of my bridal party is a gift they’re giving me that is more special than they will ever know.

Well I’ll wrap it up here but let me know what wedding post you’d like to see next.

xoxo Lex
