Hello dears!  Today I thought I would share with you some of my recent (and all time) beauty favorites.  Most of these are pretty standard on the beauty scene but I have a few that I think are more “hidden gems” that I think you all should know about and go out and buy right now.  For starter’s, the Nivea Men’s aftershave; you probably think I’m crazy.  My cousin, Camryn, introduced this to me as a primer and my mind was blown.  I love the consistency and the fact that it not only moisturizes but acts as a great base to my makeup.  Not to mention the fact that it kind of smells like a men’s cologne and I LOVE anything with that scent.  You’ll also notice a few Wet’n’Wild products.  The bronzer has a slight shimmer but not too much and is perfect for that all over summer glow.  (The NYX one that I linked is perfect for contouring since it’s matte.)  The Wet’n’Wild highlighter is from Fergie’s collaboration with them and I literally use it every day.  I’ve tried other highlighters and always come back to this one.  In the pan, it looks like your going to be putting a very rose-colored highlight on.  But on the skin, it is the perfect champagne color and not pink at all.  I really think it would work for any skin tone.  Not to mention that the price point is insanely good and you get so much product.  I have had this for over a year and haven’t even come close to hitting pan.
The Lorac Pro To Go Palette is my go to for traveling and for the perfect bronze smokey eye.  It was the only palette I brought with me recently on a weekend trip to San Diego.  The products are amazing and the formulation is so creamy and easy to blend.  Now on to the brows.  Being a blonde, I struggled for years to find a brow product that wasn’t too dark and wasn’t orange.  I am not a ginge!  Finally, I came across the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Duo in blonde and my prayers were answered.  It’s the perfect combo of ash and blonde and I will probably never use another product.  Everything else speaks for itself and I am absolutely in love with and I use most of this on a daily basis.  I’d love to hear your favorite products so I can give them a try, and feel free to ask questions about any of these products, as I am so happy to answer.  Have a great day!
xoxo Lexie

Happy Monday loves!  I thought I would start off this week with a post comprised of a compilation of a lot of the jobs that I have been doing recently.  It was prom, graduation, and wedding season, so these ladies kept me pretty busy.  As most of you already know, I do have a full time corporate job but have never lost my passion for beauty and fashion (which is why I have this blog as my creative outlet).  But with that said, I love being able to style hair and be a make up artist on the side.  I love being able to make a girl beam from the inside because of how beautiful she looks on the outside.  She feels more confident and excited for her special day.  Now, I am a firm believer that no one needs makeup or their hair done up to be beautiful, but there’s just something about sitting in a chair and being pampered that can give you that extra boost of confidence.  Which is in fact the reason why I do what I do.  I love making a girl feel more confident in herself and having a smile from ear to ear in the photos she posts from her day.  As, you can see from a lot of these pictures, I am a makeup artist who does not believe in heavy, cake-faced make up.  I think that you should still look like yourself, but I enhance your natural, beautiful and unique features.  You should look like yourself, not a masked version of yourself.  So, if any of you have a special occasion coming up or just need your hair and makeup done for a certain occasion, (and are in my area), shoot me an email at — I would love to hear from you guys and also love to hear your feedback about what you would like to see next.  Happy Tuesday!

xoxo Lex
